Yankees Aquire Eric Young JR From Brewers

The Yankees have announced that they have aquired 31 year old Eric Young JR from the Brewers for cash.

Eric Young JR has been optioned to AAA Scranton Wilkes-Barre and looks like he could serve as a possible September call up for his speed. He has stolen 144 of 179 bases and is renowned as one of the best base runners in baseball. He is a life time .247 hitter, but figures to be the Yankees go to go in pinch running situations.

With the deadline for players being playoff eligible winds down this evening. I would not be surprised to see the Yankees make some more moves by the day’s end.
