Judge has been working with hitting coaches on shortening his swing, and as comical as this may sound he has started making more contact lately. He has squared up a few of the pitches on the last few at bats he has had. Which leads one to believe he could finally be figuring things out a bit at the big league level.
Judge has proven to be a very streaky player in the past. You can read about that and more by clicking on my article below:
Yankees Fans: Don’t Judge.
If Aaron Judge gets more aggressive early in counts and drives fastballs he could get very hot. He is seeing a lot of pitches and comes in with a 4.14 pitch per plate appearance average which is very respectable.
Look for Judge to start to drive balls early in the count and possibly help contribute down the stretch as the Yankees continue their march to the post season. Judge has the power and the talent to really surge a Yankee post season run. Will he heat up and figure it out? No one knows for sure, but given recent developments I would look for him to possibly get hot here soon.
