Throw out everything that has happened this season and throw it out the door. The New York Yankees are for real and 2016 is proving to be a magic season in the Bronx. After falling behind in the first the Yankees scored two runs to go ahead by one run. CC would then blow the lead not once, but twice. He would finish the night with 4 innings pitched allowing 3 runs. The Yankees turned to Holder, Shreve, Parker, Yates, and Layne to finish off the game and they were excellent.
In the 9th inning Tyler Austin came up to bat in the bottom of the inning. After Girardi elected not to pinch hit with Tex, Austin paid Girardi with a walk off homerun to right center. You can see the video below.

Tyler Austin has a way of rising to the occasion like the other Yankee greats. There is obviously a lot of his story yet he has to write, but he has risen to the occasion. After that victory the Yankees now pull .5 game closer to everyone and leap frog over the Astro’s. What was once perceived as a fairy tale is coming closer to fermenting into something special. The Yankees are for real, and Tyler Austin is showing a talent, and a skill set that could help him thrive for years to come.
